Why does the input have # and - symbols?

That's markdown — a simple text format that AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT use by default. The # symbols become slide headings and the - symbols become bullet points. Just paste your AI output directly and DeckEngine handles the rest.

Do I need to install anything?

No. DeckEngine is a web app. Paste your content, download your PowerPoint file.

Can I edit the slides after?

Yes. DeckEngine outputs native PowerPoint files, not images. You can edit text, move elements, add slides—whatever you need.

What if my content doesn't fit on a slide?

DeckEngine detects overflow and can automatically adjust font sizes or warn you before generating.

Do you store my content?

We process your content to generate slides, then delete it. We don't train on your data or store it long-term.

Can I use my company's PowerPoint template?

DeckEngine includes professional dark and light templates today. Custom brand kits — upload your logo, set your colours — are coming soon with Pro.

Where is my data processed?

DeckEngine runs on AWS infrastructure in ap-southeast-2 (Sydney, Australia). Content is processed in memory and not persisted after generation.

Can I use DeckEngine with confidential content?

Yes. We don't store your content after generation and don't train models on it. Your data is processed in memory and deleted immediately.
